Hope you all had a great holiday and are relaxing into the new year.
Brisbane Branch committee has been busy. Since losing our meeting venue at Milton last year, we have now arranged a new venue:
The Albion Peace Hall at 102 McDonald Road at Windsor
The Hall is under the Albion overpass.
It’s near the Albion Railway Station, with Airport, Shorncliffe and Doomben line trains stopping there, with a walk of 225 metres to the Hall.
Chermside buses 320 and 320 travel along Sandgate Road, and it’s a 400 metre walk from Albion Central Stop 19.
If driving, there is loads of parking, with some on the grounds as well as street parking.
Heading outbound (or inbound) on Lutwyche Road – turn right (or left) into Albion Road. Drive in the left lane near the bottom of the hill before the rise to go over the overpass. Just past the traffic lights at McLennan Street, turn left into a small offshoot road – the sign says “McDonald Rd”. Turn right into McDonald Road and Peace Hall is about 50 metres on the right. OR
Heading outbound (or inbound) on Sandgate Road turn left (or right) into Albion Road. After going over the overpass turn left into Lane Street, left into Blackmore Street and left into McDonald Road.
We do not have a meeting in February. Our first meeting will be on 27th March, and liaison is now under way with speakers to confirm their availability for this new location.
Watch this space! We will keep you up to date with our future speakers, and we look forward to seeing you in our new venue.
